I was reading through some old reports and came across the tragic story of Marcell Cole. It's absolutely devastating to think about how many young lives like Marcell's have been cut short, often with little to no closure for their families. I can't help but wonder how much the lack of community cooperation and strained police resources at that time played into the case going cold. It's always bewildering to me how such violence could become a "norm" in some areas, and how we as a society sometimes fail to properly address these systemic issues. I truly hope that one day, Marcell's family can find some form of justice or at least some answers to their lingering questions. My heart goes out to all those affected by such senseless violence.
