Hello everyone,
I've been following Christopher Etheridge's case for a while, and I've been thinking a lot about the community's role in these cold cases. It's truly tragic how many families are left without answers, and I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing someone and not knowing why or how it happened.
What stands out to me is how essential public involvement is in cases like Christopher's. The Detroit Police Department's cold case webpage is a promising initiative, but I wonder how many people are actually aware of it and willing to come forward. I feel like there's a powerful opportunity here to leverage social media and community networks to spread awareness and gather crucial information.
Does anyone know of local groups in Detroit actively working with law enforcement to solve these cases? If so, how can we best support their efforts from afar? I really believe that collective action might just be the key to bringing some light to these otherwise dark and often forgotten cases. Any thoughts or ideas on how we can help make a difference would be much appreciated!
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts. My heart goes out to Christopher's family and all those still waiting for justice.
Stay safe out there.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been following Christopher Etheridge’s case for a while now, and there’s something that really weighs on my mind—how deeply it affects the community and the family in such a personal way. In neighborhoods like those in Detroit, where violence sadly seems all too common, the tragedy is how each victim is not just a statistic but a person with loved ones left behind.

In Christopher's case, I think about the ripple effect his unsolved murder has on friends and family who are still searching for answers. The community can sometimes become numb to these stories because of their frequency, but it's important to remember that behind every case number is someone loved and valued.

I'm encouraged to see efforts like Detroit's cold case webpage and the push for community involvement, but I find myself wondering how we, as a community, can do more to honor the memories of victims like Christopher and support the families who are still waiting for that crucial piece of evidence or witness testimony that could finally bring closure.

I hope we can all keep sharing and discussing—every conversation is a small step towards keeping Christopher’s story alive and showing his family they’re not alone in this journey for justice.
