Hey everyone,
I’ve been digging through some old case files and came across the tragic story of Sade Smith. Thinking about the lack of evidence in her case, it made me curious about how often technology and forensic science advance faster than we realize. Given that Sade's case has been cold for more than a decade, I wonder if there have been recent developments in forensic technology that could potentially yield new evidence or insights.
With so many cases remaining unsolved, it's frustrating to imagine what could have been overlooked or missed just because the technology wasn't there yet. Does anyone know if the Detroit PD has started reexamining old evidence using newer methods like touch DNA or other advanced techniques? I've read somewhere that reviewing old evidence with fresh eyes and new tech sometimes resolves decades-old cases.
My thoughts are with Sade's family and all families still waiting for answers. Every life matters, and so does every bit of progress that could bring us closer to justice.
Hoping for insights and thoughts from this incredible community!
