I've been following the case of David Smith and can't help but think about the immense pressure the Detroit Police Department must have faced back in 2012. It's not just about a lack of resources; the whole system seemed overwhelmed. I can't imagine the frustration of families like David's, who are left waiting for answers without much concrete information. The Cold Case Unit seems to be doing what they can with what they have, and I hope the advancements in forensic technology bring some overdue clarity. It's painful to imagine so many people dealing with open wounds due to unsolved cases. For anyone reading who might be in a similar situation, please know that many of us are thinking of you and hoping for resolution and peace. Let's keep the conversation going and support these efforts as best as we can.
