The local businesses, especially those near the police barricades, stayed open longer to provide food and shelter to people displaced or unable to get home. It’s a testament to the resilience and compassion of the Greensboro community during such a difficult time. My heart goes out to Rebecca's family and friends, and I hope they find solace in knowing how much community support they have. It's sad and infuriating that it takes a tragedy like this to bring these issues to light, but I genuinely hope it sparks more conversations and actions to prevent domestic violence.
