Has anyone here looked into the role community involvement could play in helping resolve cases like that of Marcellus Smith? It's devastating to think about the number of families in Detroit, like Marcellus's, still waiting to know what happened to their loved ones. I believe there's a lot of untapped potential for public participation.
The cold case webpage launched in 2019 seems like a step forward. Offering people a platform to provide tips might just be key in uncovering small but crucial details that law enforcement might overlook, especially with their resources stretched so thin. It pains me to think that maybe someone knows something small, a piece of the puzzle that could help Marcellus's family get the answers they deserve. What can we do to encourage more people to come forward? Perhaps community-driven initiatives could make a difference. Thoughts?
Has anyone heard of any progress or updates on Marcellus Smith's case? It’s so difficult to see this happen again and again in Detroit, and it’s frustrating that his case hasn’t caught more attention. It’s like his story just slipped through the cracks despite being another tragic loss in the city. I understand the challenges our law enforcement faces, but it makes you wonder what else can be done.
Also, I've read a bit about how DNA technology is advancing. Do you think that could possibly help in cases like Marcellus’s? It must be so tough for his family not knowing what happened and not getting any closure. They deserve answers. If anyone has more information on how these techniques might make a difference, especially for older cases like his, I’d love to hear about it. ?
