I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact on Heather’s children in this terrible situation. Losing a parent at such a young age is an unimaginable loss, and my heart goes out to them and their grandmother, Jolene. People often discuss the legal aspects and the trial proceedings, but there’s a whole emotional world that the children will have to navigate moving forward. It must be incredibly hard for them and those around them to pick up the pieces after such a tragedy. I hope they have a strong support system in place to help them through this.
