Hey everyone, I've been digging through some cases and came across the unsolved murder of Lori Hatton back in 2013. What's really striking to me about Lori's case is the sheer number of hurdles that the Detroit Police Department has faced. It seems like the department is constantly playing a game of catch-up due to limited manpower and resources, especially when they were facing over 333 homicides that year alone. It's clear that the detectives have their hands full, but I can't help but wonder how many leads and pieces of evidence are just falling through the cracks because of this. Given the struggles with witness cooperation, I'm curious if there’s any ongoing effort from community groups that aim to encourage people to come forward with information? If there's one thing I've seen in these cases, it's that sometimes it just takes a small tip from someone who might think what they know isn’t important. I genuinely hope Lori's family eventually gets the closure they deserve. It's tough to see so many families caught in this limbo. Thoughts or insights anyone? Feel free to PM if you've got more detailed info that's not for public threads. Stay safe out there.
