I’ve been following Leronn Waker’s case and can’t stop thinking about how many families are left without answers in Detroit. The systemic issues like limited resources for the Detroit Police Department seem to play such a huge role in these unresolved cases. I know every city has its challenges, but how do we help push for more resources or community involvement that can prevent such tragedies? It’s so frustrating to think about how many young lives like Leronn's are cut short and how their families are left in limbo, waiting for justice that’s long overdue. Does anyone have any insight into what could help increase the resolution rate for these cases? It seems like it would take a collective effort from the community and law enforcement to make any real changes. Sending strength and support to the Waker family and all those affected by this ongoing cycle of violence.

I recently came across Leronn Waker's case, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who have been living with this loss for nearly a decade now. It's deeply troubling to see yet another young life cut short, especially in a neighborhood already grappling with so much violence. The lack of closure in cases like Leronn's is unsettling. I can't imagine bearing the weight of not knowing who took a beloved son, brother, or friend away. It seems like this is another instance where the community and law enforcement need to come together more effectively. Maybe more community engagement or witness protection initiatives could encourage witnesses to come forward with information without fear? How can we expect any real change if these neighborhoods keep witnessing unsolved losses? If anyone has thoughts on how we can support Leronn's family or advocate for justice in cases like his, I'd love to hear your ideas. It's important for their voices to be heard and to keep Leronn’s memory alive. ?️
