Hey folks, I've been following the Barry Harmon case for a while, and something keeps bugging me about the initial search efforts. It's stated that despite substantial search efforts from local authorities and volunteer groups like Texas EquuSearch, no significant clues turned up after he went missing. I wonder if the dense wooded area got in the way, or maybe there was some specific terrain that made it more difficult for search teams to navigate? I've read that hunters sometimes venture into pretty challenging spots where a person might not be easily detectable. Does anyone have any insights or experience with search and rescue in similar environments? Could these terrain challenges possibly explain the delay in finding any trace of him for so many years?

Has anyone else been following the mysterious disappearance and eventual discovery of Barry Gene Harmon Sr.'s remains in Drew County? It's been puzzling me ever since he went missing back in 2015. I can't shake the feeling that there's more to the story, even though authorities ruled out foul play. I keep wondering about the dense woods behind his home where he went hunting. Are there spots that have been overlooked, or maybe even hazardous terrain? With Barry being such an experienced hunter, you'd think he'd be familiar with the area. Also, it seems odd that the search teams, including Texas EquuSearch, weren't able to locate him sooner, even though they combed through the area thoroughly. Nature can be ruthless, but Barry's case leaves me with so many questions. Would love to hear what others think about the terrain and search efforts involved.

Hey everyone, I was reading through Barry Harmon's case again, and something struck me about his hunting gear. Does anyone know if he was an experienced hunter? I wonder if he had any particular habits or preferred spots for setting up when he went out. It seems odd that a guy who knows his way around the woods could just vanish without leaving a trace. Maybe there was something unique about that day? Like, did he take a different route or try out a new area he wasn't as familiar with? I'm not suggesting he got lost, but it just feels like there's something more to dig into about that particular hunt. Also, did anyone check if there were scouting cameras in the woods that might have picked up anything unusual? Just thinking out loud here. Thoughts?
