Has anyone else been following Brenden Andrews' case and feeling really frustrated about how it’s been handled? It's so tough to think about his family and friends, knowing they haven't gotten the closure they need. It’s been years, and it seems like the disparities in solving homicide cases involving Black victims are just being ignored despite all the data showing the gap.
I'm thinking these issues go beyond just one case and point to something much bigger. The creation of a Cold Case Unit in Detroit seems like a step in the right direction, but there has to be more that can be done, right? How do you all think the community or individuals could support Brenden’s case or others like it? Maybe if we keep talking about these cases and push for change, more attention will be brought to them. Keeping hope alive for Brenden’s family and others going through the same pain.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Brenden Andrews, and something that stands out to me is the lack of public attention it's received. It's troubling to think about how media coverage can often influence the urgency or resources dedicated to solving a case. I remember seeing so many cold cases gain traction once they got picked up by media outlets or even through grassroots movements and social media campaigns.
Brenden's family deserves justice, like anyone else, and it's disheartening that his case hasn't been more prominently featured in the news. How can the community come together to bring more attention to it? Maybe organizing a vigil or reaching out to local reporters could help? It's crucial that no case slips through the cracks just because it's not on the public's radar. My thoughts are with his family and friends as they continue to push for answers.
Would love to hear your thoughts or any ideas you have on how to increase awareness for Brenden's case and others like it.
Stay safe, everyone.
