Just watched a recent documentary about missing persons in wilderness areas and it got me thinking about Danny Ferguson. The Ortega Mountains can be pretty unforgiving, especially if you're not familiar with the terrain. I read somewhere that there's a lot of dense brush and hidden ravines in the area, which could make it really difficult to find someone or even just to get your bearings if you go off-trail. Does anyone know if there were any searches conducted with dogs or aerial support back when he went missing? I feel like those could have been crucial in such rough terrain. It's wild how someone can just vanish like that in the age of technology.
