I keep thinking about how this trial must have impacted Chivaye Norton's family. I can't even begin to fathom the pain of losing a loved one and then having to relive it all over again in such a public manner. The not-guilty verdict delivered here shocks me, but more than anything, my heart goes out to the Norton family witnessing the applause in the courtroom. That had to be incredibly tough. Why was there such a lack of accountability? It seems the case brought to light the gaps in training and oversight, but have there been any real changes made since then in security protocols? It’s frustrating to see these patterns repeat without resolution. Families like the Nortons deserve justice and the certainty that these tragedies won’t happen to others. Has anyone seen improved measures put in place in malls or similar settings?
