Did anyone else catch that both Aja Makalo and Zavion Southerland were so young? This makes me think about how quickly lives can change. Aja was only 19 and Zavion just 17, barely starting their adult lives when this happened. It’s a stark reminder of how split-second decisions can have devastating consequences. I often wonder what their backgrounds were like and what would lead them into such a situation to begin with. It's tragic all around, not just for Jacob and his family but for these two as well. I hope there will be justice for Jacob, and I really hope both Aja and Zavion are getting the support they need as this unfolds.
