I've been following Courtney Lezette's case, and it's just so upsetting to think of yet another promising life taken too soon due to violence. Detroit's been dealing with so much, and it's clear that the system is overwhelmed, but each one of these victims deserves justice. Something that really stood out to me about Courtney's case is the lack of eyewitness accounts. It's so disheartening to realize that people might have seen something but aren’t coming forward, maybe out of fear or mistrust. These are real people, with families left hanging without answers. I can’t imagine how her loved ones are coping with not knowing what really happened. The community’s role seems crucial here. If we could foster more trust between residents and law enforcement, maybe more people would feel safe speaking up. I know it's a big ask, considering the historical tensions and current struggles, but it's got to start somewhere, right? My heart goes out to Courtney’s family—I hope they find some peace and answers soon.
