Has anyone else been following the James Johnson case? It’s been nearly a decade since his murder, and it's distressing to think that there might still be people out there with information who haven’t come forward. It’s understandable, given the fear and mistrust that can exist towards law enforcement in high-crime areas like Detroit, but hopefully, the efforts of the Cold Case Unit can lead to some much-needed answers. Every time I hear about the advancements in forensic technology, it gives me a bit of hope that maybe we’ll see more of these unsolved cases revisited and resolved. It’s so important for the community and especially for the families, who deserve some form of closure after all this time. If anyone new has been paying attention to the cold case webpage or any recent press releases, I’d love to discuss what’s been happening, if anything, on this front. Maybe sharing what we find can lead to more awareness and, ultimately, justice for James and others in similar situations.
