I’ve been following Christopher Thomas’s case for a while now, and it’s simply devastating to see how stretched thin the Detroit police resources are when it comes to homicide investigations. It's disheartening to think of all the families waiting for justice, Christopher’s included. The Cold Case Unit gives a glimmer of hope, with their dedication to using newer techniques like DNA analysis, but the reality of witness reluctance and limited manpower is daunting. It’s important to highlight these systemic issues without forgetting the individual tragedies like Christopher’s that deserve resolution. I truly hope his family sees justice someday, and Detroit finds a way to support all its communities better.
