Hey everyone, I came across the memorial page that Marquis's family set up, and I was really moved by the outpouring of love from his community. Marquis seemed like such a bright light in the lives of those who knew him. The stories and memories shared by his friends and family paint a picture of someone who was genuinely loved and brought people together with his positivity and warmth. While many details about what happened to Marquis are unclear, it’s obvious the impact of his loss is still deeply felt. I was particularly struck by the way his family continues to fight for answers with the legal case against the City of Detroit. It must be incredibly difficult to push for justice while still grieving such a profound loss.
