I recently came across the case of Donald Vaughn, and it's difficult not to feel a deep sense of frustration and sadness for his family. With Detroit's history of unsolved cases, I can't imagine the pain of waiting years without answers. It seems like the city made some progress with initiatives like the cold case webpage and collaborating with community groups, but I wonder if that's enough. What really gets to me is the issue with witnesses being unwilling to come forward. It's like a never-ending cycle; people don't talk because they're scared or don't trust the system, and as a result, families continue to suffer without closure. I truly hope that one day, advancements in technology and DNA analysis will help bring the answers Vaughn's family deserves. Until then, the weight of these unsolved mysteries hangs heavy on the community. Thoughts?
