I've been following the case of Marcell Law, and I find myself stuck on the part about witness cooperation. It's so frustrating to think that people might hold back information because they're scared or don’t trust the system. I get that it's a tough environment in Detroit, and people might fear retaliation, but without their input, justice just seems out of reach for cases like this. There are families left in limbo, knowing a loved one's killer might walk free or not face the full consequences.
I can only imagine what Marcell's family is going through, on top of the grief of losing him so violently. It seems like there should be more protection or incentives for witnesses to come forward. Does anyone know if the community or the police are trying anything new to help with this in Detroit, or have ideas on what could actually make a difference?
