Hey everyone, I’ve been following Leonard Brown’s case and something that's been on my mind is the broader issue of witness cooperation in Detroit. It’s deeply frustrating but understandable—many are scared for their own safety or distrust the authorities. With Leonard’s case still unsolved, I can’t help but wonder how many people might have seen or heard something but are too afraid to come forward. I really hope that community outreach programs can bridge this gap, so people feel safer to speak up. It might be key in not only helping solve Leonard’s case but countless others. Anyone know of any groups doing this kind of work? Let's keep talking about ways to support these efforts. Leonard deserved justice, and so does every family waiting for answers.

Hey everyone, I recently came across Leonard Brown’s case, and I keep thinking about how this reflects a much larger issue in Detroit during that time. It’s frustrating to see how resource constraints and lack of trust in law enforcement make it so challenging to solve these cases. I read that witnesses are often hesitant to come forward, which leaves families in a perpetual state of uncertainty and pain. I can’t imagine what Leonard’s family goes through not having closure all these years later. It's really important that we try to bring more attention to these cases. Maybe there are community-driven efforts or grassroots movements that could help shine a light on these cold cases? Does anyone here know of organizations in Detroit working towards solutions or how we can support them? Let's keep Leonard's and others’ stories alive for their families.
