I still find the whole situation surrounding Melina's death so devastating. I can't even begin to imagine what her family must be going through. One part that really sticks with me is how a gathering meant to bring loved ones together ended in such tragedy. It makes me think about how important it is for families to discuss and enforce safety measures, especially when young children are around. I keep wondering how things might have been different if the adults had ensured the firearms were stored properly and securely. It's frustrating, knowing a little more caution could have prevented such a terrible outcome. I truly hope that more people start to realize the serious responsibility that comes with owning a gun. This shouldn't have happened, and there needs to be a change to ensure every child's safety in their home. So heart-wrenching.
