I came across Armani Horton's case recently while reading about incidents in Parkway Gardens, and it genuinely got to me. He was just 18, with his whole life ahead of him. I’ve been thinking about his family and the pain they must carry every day since that terrible night. It’s hard to wrap my head around how quickly things can change and how heartbreaking it must be for those who loved him. Seeing the way gun violence continues to affect our communities, especially for young people like Armani, is deeply concerning. The arrest of Teryion Laws sheds light on a bigger issue we need to address—how to prevent young lives from taking these destructive paths and breaking this cycle of violence. For his family and friends, I hope they have found some peace and healing over time, though I know it must be difficult. It's important we continue to talk about these cases and push for changes that make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
