Has anyone else been following the case of the missing person who disappeared while traveling from Belkofski to King Cove? I stumbled upon something interesting while looking into this. Apparently, the route between these two places is notorious for rough waters and unpredictable weather conditions, even in a 14’ skiff. It got me thinking about whether enough safety measures were in place for such a journey. Has anyone with local knowledge got any insights into how this usually works there? Do people generally have specific protocols or safety gear for trips like this? Just curious if this aspect has been discussed enough in the investigation.

Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on that day? I've been reading up on the usual routes between Belkofski and King Cove, and it seems that the weather can turn pretty quickly out there. A sudden change in wind or fog could easily disorient someone, especially in a small 14' skiff. I wonder if there were any unusual weather patterns reported that day by the coast guard or local fishermen. It might give some clues about what might have happened. If anyone has more info or sources about weather trends in that area, I'd love to see it. It could be a crucial piece of the puzzle in understanding what led to this unfortunate situation.
