I've been thinking a lot about the role of Henry Phillips in this terrible tragedy. Can you imagine the trauma and survivor's guilt he must have gone through, witnessing such an atrocity and losing Bonnie that way? It’s truly unimaginable. Surviving such a horrific event and then having to relive it all during the trials must have been devastating. I often wonder how he managed to find any peace after all of this. It also makes me think about how our justice system deals with survivors of violent crimes—do they receive the support and counseling they need? Situations like this emphasize the need for comprehensive support systems for those who have witnessed personal tragedies.
