It’s hard to wrap my head around the sheer determination and planning that went into Sallie's actions. Cutting the phone lines and wearing camouflage show he was completely set on making sure nothing stopped him that night. It’s terrifying to think about how the family was caught off guard in a place where they should've felt the safest. My heart goes out not only to Robin and her family as they navigate life after such a horror but also to little Ryan. Even though he was so young, he's grown up with this shadow. I hope he’s found some peace as an adult. How senseless and cruel for an innocent family to be torn apart this way. If anyone has more information on how the family has coped since or what’s been put in place to help victims of such incidents, I’d love to learn more about it.
