I've been thinking a lot about how approachable and warm Ben Teague seemed to be, even if you only knew him through the community theater. It’s truly devastating that someone who was so genuinely passionate about the arts and his work would have his life taken in such a senseless way. I've come across several accounts from folks who were either at the reunion or remembered Ben from past productions, and the one consistent thing I'm hearing is how much life and energy he brought to every interaction. It seems like whether on stage or off, Ben had this gift for making everyone feel included and valued. The Athens Community Theater must still be feeling his absence deeply, not just for his talent but for the vibrant spirit he shared with everyone. It's moments like these that make you wish there was more we could do to honor and remember those who meant so much to so many.
