I was recently going through some old cases and came across this one about the individual who crossed the border from Mexico into the U.S. in 1991. It got me thinking about how many cases like this might have been overlooked because of the sheer volume of people crossing back then. Does anyone know if there were specific checkpoints or areas that were known for being particularly risky or dangerous at that time? It seems like these geographical challenges might have contributed to the mystery. Also, were there records or databases in place to keep track of people during that period? It’s hard to imagine someone disappearing completely without a trace these days, but maybe it was more common back then due to limited resources and coordination. Would love to hear any insights or if anyone has seen similar factors in other cases from that era!
Has anyone else noticed the lack of border crossing records from the early '90s and how it's impacting cold cases? I’ve been following the case of a person who entered the U.S. from Mexico in 1991 and then disappeared without a trace. It's so frustrating that there might be minimal documentation from that time. I wonder if this makes it easier for someone to truly vanish. Could improved record-keeping have made a difference in this case? I know technology was different back then, but it feels like such a huge blind spot in investigations. Thoughts?
Hi everyone,
I came across this case recently and it really grabbed my attention. Has anyone looked into the environmental challenges of crossing the border in 1991? I mean, it might give some context on what the conditions were like back then. I’ve read that some regions are incredibly harsh, and if the subject encountered extreme weather or a lack of resources, it could have made things extremely difficult. I'm curious if there are any reports of the dangers that could have been present at the time to understand what might have happened. Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has any additional information on border crossing conditions during that era.
Thanks!
