Has anyone else been thinking about the role community sports and mentorship played in Shelly Williams’s life? From what I’ve gathered, he was heavily involved with the Georgia Mets, always there to cheer them on. It makes me wonder how many young athletes he might've inspired over the years. Losing someone like that is a blow not just to his family, but to the whole community. It’s just so incredibly unfair. I hope as they continue to honor his memory, more initiatives pop up to carry on his legacy, maybe through youth programs or scholarships in sports. It's crucial we don't let the positive impact he had fall by the wayside amidst all this tragedy. Would love to hear if anyone else has more insights into how we can help keep his spirit alive.
