I've been following the Damon Gilmore case, and one aspect that really stands out to me is the lack of significant media coverage at the time of his murder. It's hard to understand how a life can be taken so cruelly, and yet the public awareness seems so minimal. Despite being part of a tragic and ongoing issue of violence in Baltimore, Damon's story didn't seem to make it beyond local news. I've seen how media coverage can sometimes drive public interest and, in turn, police resources into solving a case. It feels like an injustice, not just to Damon, but to everyone who knew and loved him. I hope for the sake of his family and his memory that there will be renewed focus and that his killer is brought to justice. Does anyone else feel that cases like his deserve more attention from the media?
