I recently came across the case of Marjorie Ellen Clatterbuck, and something really stuck with me—the neighbor's account of seeing her boyfriend driving away with what might have been a comforter in the car. This detail keeps bugging me. Couldn't this be an important clue? What if whatever was wrapped up played a significant role in her disappearance? It makes me think how easily something could be missed or misinterpreted by neighbors or even investigators. Has anyone heard if the comforter or other bedding from her home was ever recovered, or if there were any other items missing? I think it's details like this that could crack the case wide open.
Has anyone considered the neighbor's testimony about the comforter in the boyfriend's car? It's always stuck out to me as odd. I mean, if he was planning something, wouldn't drawing attention to himself like that be a huge risk? There are a couple of possibilities here. First, maybe he didn't care about being seen because he had something urgent to do, or maybe he thought nobody would find it suspicious. Second, what if the comforter was just a regular part of his routine—something that Marjorie or he used regularly in the car? I'm not trying to deflect suspicion, just wondering how it all fits together. Seems like an important detail that could either rule out or confirm a timeline of events. Anyone else have thoughts on this or similar cases they've followed?
