It's really puzzling to me why there haven't been any sightings of Ray Harold McBride after he was last seen walking along Highway 190. I mean, it's not like he disappeared in some remote area. Someone had to have seen him on that busy highway, right? It makes me wonder if he might have gotten picked up by someone he knew—or even a stranger. Did anyone check out if hitchhiking was a common practice in that area around that time? It seems like it could be a possibility since he talked about traveling to Houston or Florida for work. Just my thoughts, but I'd be curious if this angle was ever really looked into during the investigation.
