Does anyone else find it incredibly chilling how quickly things can escalate in situations like this? My thoughts are with Deputy Marshall's family and colleagues. From everything I've read, she seemed like a remarkable person who wore many hats—K-9 officer, SWAT member, and above all, a devoted mother. It's a glaring reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers face every day, even while doing what appears to be a routine check. I wonder if there's more that can be done to prevent such volatile encounters. It just all feels so senseless and tragic. I hope her family finds some comfort in the love and respect the community had for her. She truly seemed like someone who made a difference.

I've been thinking a lot about what Deputy Lena Marshall's family must be going through. It's unimaginable to lose someone so suddenly and violently. As a fellow mom, her story just hits me differently. Knowing she left behind three kids who now have to grow up without their mother is a sobering reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face every day. Her bravery and dedication to her community are things her kids can be proud of, but it doesn't lessen their loss. I hope the benefit fund helps them in some way, but nothing can truly replace a mother's love. My heart goes out to them and all who loved Lena.
