I came across the Milton Eldredge case again and something struck me. It's been years since he disappeared, but we still don't know what happened to him. I read about how the remains were found in the Knittle Conservation area. Just thinking out loud here—do we know what the terrain is like in that area? I mean, are there cliffs or dangerous pathways he might have accidentally fallen from? It just seems odd that no one noticed anything until hunters stumbled across remnants years later. I feel for Karen and his family as they await answers. It's strange how something could remain hidden for so long despite searches so close by. Anyone local got insight on how the landscape might factor into this?
I was reading up on the Milton Eldredge case again, and something keeps bothering me about the timeline. He was last seen on June 20, 2014, and reported missing the next day, but it took until November 2019 for his remains to be found at Knittle Conservation. It's unsettling to think he was just out there all that time. Given that Karen Buchinsky had mixed feelings about the discovery, I wonder if there were any specific theories she or the family might have had during those five years. Were there certain places searched and others not? Or maybe areas that were checked frequently due to tips? It's intriguing to consider what the search process entailed and what might have been overlooked initially. Anyone with search and rescue experience have insights on how these cases are typically approached?
Hey everyone, I came across something interesting while reading about Milton Eldredge's case that got me thinking. I've been following it since the remains were found and remembered that he was last seen walking on Route 23. It's a pretty rural area, and I wonder if that's part of why it took so long for anyone to find any trace of him. Does anyone know if there have been previous reports of people having issues in that area, like getting lost or even animal encounters? The landscape seems challenging, with lots of dense woods. It just puzzles me how someone can vanish without a trace for so long. Maybe the terrain itself played a bigger role than we realize in hindering the search efforts? What do you all think?
