Has anyone else been following the Lake Clark plane crash involving Scott Blom and his family? I saw an update mentioning that they've only found the plane's co-pilot seat and wheels so far. This makes me wonder about the condition of Lake Clark's waters and how they might've influenced the search efforts. Does anyone with knowledge of the area know if the lake typically has issues with visibility or strong currents that could hinder recovery operations? It seems to add another layer of difficulty to an already tragic situation. My thoughts are with everyone affected.

Has anyone else picked up on the fact that the crash happened so close to their departure point in Port Alsworth? I can't help but wonder if there was some kind of mechanical issue that caused the plane to crash soon after takeoff. The pilot, Kyle Longerbeam, was young, but I've read he had experience. It's so tragic, especially since the lake is part of the community they called home. I hope the investigation can shed some light on what went wrong. Does anyone with aviation expertise have any thoughts on what possible issues could have led to this, given the proximity to where they took off?
