I can't stop thinking about that text message Eukelia sent to her dad just days before everything happened. It’s so haunting to think she felt the need to send that note, almost like a cry for help. This act of premeditated violence is just devastating. It really underscores how trapped she must have felt, knowing there were serious issues but maybe feeling powerless to escape. My heart goes out to her family, especially her dad, who probably wanted to do everything in his power to keep her safe but couldn’t. We have to do more to support people in situations like this, so they don’t feel like they have no place to turn. How many more red flags have to be ignored before we start taking these warnings more seriously?

Has anyone looked into the role of the mental health counselor in this case? It's just so unsettling to think about how intertwined this tragic event is with both mental health and domestic violence. The fact that Johnson called his counselor and confessed to what happened is a huge piece of the puzzle that kind of gets overshadowed by the rest. I'm really wondering what kind of support system Eukelia had on her side. Was there anyone she confided in besides her father? It's a reminder of how crucial it is for people in similar situations to feel supported and to reach out for help. It's a tragic loss for her family and friends, and my heart goes out to them. No one should ever have to experience such pain.
