Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the day Charles went missing? I've been digging around and found that the waters around Eek Point can be pretty unpredictable. The weather can change in the blink of an eye, especially when you're dealing with Alaskan tides. I wonder if he hit rough waters unexpectedly. With the skiff found on California Island, it's like something pushed it off course. The found items might suggest he tried to make it back to shore but got caught in a tough spot. Could local fishermen in the area have noticed anything unusual that day? Would love to hear thoughts or any other resources to dig into about the conditions out there. It's all just so strange.

Hi everyone, I’ve been following the case of Charles, who went missing back in June 2017, and something has been on my mind regarding his disappearance. His skiff was found quite a distance from where he was last seen at Eek Point. Has anyone looked into the tides and currents around the area on that specific day? I feel like understanding how the water moves in that region could shed some light on how his skiff ended up on California Island. Hydaburg's waters aren't the calmest, and I'm wondering if a sudden shift in weather could have played a part. It's curious that his waders and jacket were found a mile south of the skiff. Could these items have drifted due to the current, or does it suggest that he might have tried to swim or wade to safety after something went wrong? Would love to hear if anyone else has insights or theories on this aspect. It just seems like a piece of the puzzle that might help us understand what happened to him. Thanks for any thoughts or additional information!

Hey everyone, I've been following Charles' case for a while now and something that's been puzzling me is the location of the found items. His chest waders, boot, and jacket were discovered a nautical mile from where his boat turned up. It's almost like he was trying to head somewhere on foot after leaving the sea. Does anyone have insights on the sea currents or terrain in that area? Could they have carried his things that far, or is there any possibility he might have intentionally gone ashore and ran into trouble afterward? The randomness of the item's locations always seemed off to me, especially since those areas aren't typically known for strong currents. Curious if there's any local knowledge someone could share to help make sense of this.
