Has anyone else been following the Michael Paul Burke case? The details about the knife attack are really unsettling. What sticks with me is imagining the fright he must have felt in his final moments. It's just so incredibly sad—thinking about someone who clearly had a love for life, with his hunting and fishing, and just being so deeply connected to his community, having to endure something so horrific. I also keep wondering about the psychological state of Dustin Martin. The fact that he left, got a gun, and came back—I mean, what was going through his mind? It just goes to show how complex and unpredictable domestic issues can become. It's just so important that we all keep the conversation about mental health and domestic violence going, to hopefully prevent tragedies like this from happening again. My heart goes out to both families dealing with this profound loss.
