I’ve been following Gregory’s case for a while now, and there’s something that puzzles me. I know the authorities have concluded that he likely fell into the river and drowned, but I still find it strange that nothing of his has ever been recovered. It’s been almost six years, and you’d think by now, especially with changing seasons, something like his snow machine would resurface. Does anyone know if there’ve been efforts beyond just regular searches, like using sonar equipment or advanced technology for underwater searches in that area? Could the currents or conditions in the Kuskokwim River account for the lack of findings, or is there a chance he could have ended up somewhere else entirely? This case has always stuck with me.
I came across Gregory's case, and something's been bugging me. Does anyone know if there were any signs of distress or issues with Gregory's snow machine before he attempted to cross the Kuskokwim River? Sleetmute is such a remote area, and with the harsh Alaskan weather conditions, even a small mechanical issue could have turned dangerous quickly. If Gregory often took this route, maybe he had a routine or preparations he would follow. Are there any locals or regular travelers on that path who might share insights or have noticed anything unusual that day?
