Hey everyone,
I was thinking about the complexities involved in collecting forensic evidence back in the late '80s and how much we've evolved since then. With Brian Poole's case, it seems like the initial crime scene examination might've been limited by the technology of the time. Can you imagine how different the outcome might be if today's forensic advancements were available then? DNA analysis, for instance, was in its infancy in '88.
I read somewhere that trace evidence can speak volumes if handled right. It's sad to think that something might've been overlooked or wasn't detectable back then. It's crucial that law enforcement is still looking into this. There’s still hope that modern forensic breakthroughs could shed light on what happened to Brian and finally bring his family the answers they deserve. Just reminds me how important it is for resources to continually be invested into cold case investigations.
Would love to hear your thoughts on how forensic science has changed over the years or any other cases where new tech cracked an old mystery.
Sending thoughts to Brian's loved ones.
