I've been following Darron Lee Jr.'s case from the beginning, and it truly sticks with me how his mother, Audrey, has been such a pillar of strength through this unimaginable situation. I can't stop thinking about the potential life Darron had ahead of him—his dreams of going professional in basketball and eventually supporting his mom. It's just so frustrating how a bright future was stolen from both of them. I'm really hoping that the community can come together to keep pushing for answers. Maybe someone knows something, or saw something, that could help bring justice for Darron and give his family some semblance of peace. Sacramento has been through a lot, and cases like this just underline the need for everyone to look out for each other and work together to make the city safer. If there’s anything we can do to support Audrey and keep the memory of Darron alive, it’s worth pursuing.

I just came across this case and it really hits home for me as a mom. I've been thinking a lot about Darron's mother, Audrey. I can't even imagine the pain of watching your child suffer and then lose them in such a terrible way. A friend of mine once said that losing your child is like losing a piece of your heart, and I think about how Audrey had to sit there for those 13 days, hoping against hope for her son to wake up. It's truly hard to understand why something like this is still unsolved. I mean, how is justice so elusive when a family's life has been completely changed? It's frustrating to see how slow these processes can be, but then I try to remind myself that every case is different and requires thorough investigation. I genuinely hope that anyone who might know something about what happened that day comes forward. It's always possible that people hold back because they're afraid or don't realize the significance of what they saw or heard. If you're out there and saw anything at all in the Natomas neighborhood on November 30, 2013, please remember that Darron's family deserves answers. Props to the community for supporting the family and demanding that justice prevails. Darron's story should remind us of the importance of looking out for each other and taking a stand against the violence around us. Let's keep sharing his story and amplifying the call for justice.
