Has anyone ever heard any updates regarding the search efforts in the Forked Deer River area? It’s been years since Raymond Clifford Thomas III went missing and was presumed murdered, but I'm wondering if there have been any renewed attempts to recover his remains. It seems strange to me that despite knowing where he might be, there's no record of recent efforts to search that area again, or at least none that I’ve come across. It must be incredibly frustrating for his family to have some answers but still not find their son/brother/uncle. The idea that his family is still waiting for closure so many years later just haunts me. ? If anyone has any theories or heard something new, please share.
I’ve been diving deep into the Raymond Clifford Thomas III case, and one thing that strikes me is the role those anonymous calls played in bringing attention to this tragic event. It seems like those tips became a vital turning point for investigators, pointing them toward Reggie Carnell James and eventually leading to his conviction. Imagine how it must feel to have a loved one go missing and then receive random calls suggesting something so horrifying. It must have been a mix of dread and desperate hope for some answers. Does anyone know if authorities ever traced those calls back to anyone? Or were they just as much a mystery as everything else in this heartbreaking case? Hard to imagine what the family must have felt during that time. If anyone has updates or knows more about how the investigation handled these calls, I’d love to hear.
