I’ve been following the case of Mamadou Bah and find it truly tragic how a young life was cut short so senselessly. What's really haunting is how he had just moved to the area two weeks prior. It makes me wonder about the safety of the neighborhood and if perhaps any ongoing tensions went unnoticed. Did Mamadou find himself inadvertently caught up in something? Or was this a case of mistaken identity? Given that there’s no clear motive or suspects, I can’t help but think of how vulnerable new residents can be. Was he an easy target because he didn’t know anybody and perhaps didn’t yet have a sense of community or support? It must be incredibly tough for his family, being far away in Guinea and unable to get the closure they desperately need. If anyone living near the 1800 block of Metzerott Road has any information, no matter how small, it could be key in giving them some semblance of peace. Let’s not let Mamadou’s story fade into the background like so many others. Sending strength to his friends and family during this unbelievably difficult time. Please, if you know something, say something.
