Do you guys remember the vigil that was held for Erin Hanks after her tragic passing in 2016? I still think about it from time to time. It was such a moving event, seeing so many from the North Highlands community come together to honor her memory. Erin was really adored by her neighbors, and everyone who spoke that night painted a picture of someone who was truly extraordinary, despite the challenges life threw her way. The candlelight vigil really drove home the sense of loss that rippled through our community. It's been years, yet the push for justice in her case continues to unite us, as well as remind us of the importance of standing by the families affected by such tragedies. My thoughts are always with her kids—I hope one day they find the answers they so desperately deserve.
