I've been following the Trevino case, and I can't stop thinking about the role of Officer Jonathan Diaz that night. It's incredibly tragic to hear about his bravery and how he didn’t hesitate for a second to intervene. As an off-duty officer, he was under no obligation to get involved, yet he chose to stand up and try to defuse a dangerous situation. It speaks volumes about his character and dedication. It's stories like these that remind you of the risks law enforcement officers face even when they're not on duty. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones as they navigate this painful loss. Diaz's actions undoubtedly saved lives that night, and his heroism should never be forgotten.
It’s still so sad to think about the bravery shown by Trevino Sr. and Officer Diaz during such a terrifying ordeal. Something that really sticks with me is how incredible it is that three men stepped up in that moment, showing such selflessness to protect Trevino Jr.’s girlfriend and others at the party.
