I’ve been following the tragic case of James Chase, and my heart goes out to his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. I recently stumbled upon an interview with some residents in Ocean Beach who mentioned that this area has been getting more concerning in terms of safety. It’s worrying to think that a beloved community space, like the beach near the lifeguard tower, has become a scene of such violence. Has anyone else noticed similar issues in Ocean Beach or other areas in San Diego? It feels like a wake-up call for community members and local authorities to unite and address these safety concerns. It just brings to light how crucial it is for communities to have open conversations about what’s happening in their neighborhoods. Anyone with local insight on if there have been previous incidents around the area? Stay safe out there, everyone.
