Has anyone else been following the testimony from Evan Campbell's murder trial? I can't stop thinking about how terrifying it must have been for his father. I read that he got a text from his surviving son about the confrontation and rushed out there to help. It's impossible to imagine the fear and adrenaline that must have overtaken him in those moments. As a parent, trying to protect your children's lives, only to be caught in a situation like this—it just breaks my heart. I hope that Campbell's family finds some peace and strength moving forward, knowing that justice is being served, at least in part, for Evan. This case is yet another grim reminder of how violent gang activities can shatter lives so senselessly.
