It's been weighing on my mind how crucial the role of community pressure was in Michael Esterline's case. When the news first broke about his death, there was an overwhelming demand for justice from the local community. It seemed like everyone was on edge, not just because of the tragedy that befell Michael but also due to the fear that the perpetrator might strike again. The public outcry definitely pushed law enforcement to act swiftly, which probably played a key role in Diego Flores being apprehended as quickly as he was. It was as if Sacramento collectively decided not to let Michael's death become just another statistic. It reminds us how important it is to raise our voices and hold systems accountable, especially in times of grief. While it doesn't bring Michael back, perhaps this collective effort can prevent future tragedies. Sending lots of love and strength to his family and friends, who have been through the unimaginable.
