I was thinking today about the impact on DJ's friends, who were right there during that tragic night. It must have been so incredibly traumatic for them to witness what happened and then see the different stories unfold in the media. These young people, who probably never imagined they'd face something like this, had to deal not only with losing a friend but also the chaos and confusion that followed. I can’t help but wonder how they’re coping now, years later. I just hope they’ve found peace and have been able to heal in some way. It's important that we support each other in our communities, especially the young people who are dealing with such difficult and life-altering experiences.

I've been following the Danroy "DJ" Henry case, and something that just sticks with me is the role of bystander accounts. It's heartbreaking to think about how critical these eyewitness testimonies were, yet it feels like they were barely given any weight in the decision-making process. Friends of DJ who were there that night describe him as driving cautiously, not aggressively. I can only imagine how frustrating and painful it must be for them to see their perspectives seemingly brushed aside. From what I've read, some witnesses even claimed that Hess's actions were far from justified, so why wasn't more attention paid to these accounts? It's so important that in situations like these, all testimonies are taken seriously, especially when they contradict official narratives. This makes me think about how critical it is to have independent investigations in cases like this. DJ's family and friends are constantly in my thoughts as they continue their fight for justice. They deserve to have every voice heard and every angle of this tragedy examined thoroughly.
