I was thinking about Jonathan Delgado and how much he seemed to love being a new dad to Jaida. Losing a parent is one of the toughest things, especially when you're too young to understand. It's a tragedy that Jaida will grow up without her father, missing out on those precious moments that should have been hers to share with him. I've seen families in similar situations start foundations or scholarships in the name of their lost loved one, and it always seems like a meaningful way to keep their memory alive. Maybe it's something Jonathan's family could explore when they're ready. It hurts to think of how this senseless act has taken away so much from such a young life. My heart goes out to Jaida and Jonathan's family during this incredibly difficult time. Let's hope that whoever did this is caught soon, and they find some peace knowing justice was served.
